EU-Japan Support Mission in the Space Sector "Link & Launch"

The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation and Japan Space Systems will co-organise a EU-Japan Support Mission in the Space Sector: Link and Launch in Tokyo and Hokkaido, from the 5th to 8th September 2017. The first leg of the event will take place in the cutting-edge city of Tokyo around exchanges with the Japanese space industry and roundtable meetings including policy updates and the second leg will consist of site visits in Hokkaido, the northernmost of Japan’s main islands which covers 20% of the country’s land area and boasts a rich natural environment. The objective of this mission is to link the European and Japanese industries, especially that of Hokkaido, for business collaboration and partnerships. The affluent primary sector in the region implies a vast potential of untapped areas which can benefit from space technologies. Targeted firms for this mission are: European companies (especially SMEs) with successful case studies involving the utilization of Space and Earth observation assets around applications in Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Farming, Logistics etc.

Meet the industries in Tokyo & Hokkaido and explore opportunities for collaboration!
