Briefing to the group of Finnish businesspeople “From Nature to you” (Briefing)

Mr Guerrier made a presentation on the Mission and the Activities of the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation to the Finnish member companies involved in a project entitled “From Nature to you”, which consists of companies offering natural food products, accommodation, restaurant services and local activities in Northern and Eastern Finland. Through their visit to the “Health Ingredients Fair” at the Tokyo Big Sight (14-16 October 2009), the participants from this group wished to encourage the consumption of natural and organic products such as wild berries and mushrooms to Japanese consumers and offer tourism packages which would allow Japanese to enjoy Finnish nature. Participants of this excursion also wished to seek information on Japanese travel culture, on the possibilities to market travel products in Japan and to gain contacts for cooperation in the future. Both Mr Tsukamoto and Mr Guerrier joined in to offer answers, advice and contacts during a fruitful Q&A session, after which some participants showed an interest in considering to apply to the Centre’s services, in particular to the topical mission on “Distribution and Business Practices”.
