The BJA EU Committee organised a business lunch on the preparations for the UN Climate Change conference in Copenhagen. Governments from 192 countries attempted to thrash out a successor to the Kyoto Protocol next December in Copenhagen amid growing signals from scientists that global warming is occurring more quickly than expected.
HE Ambassador Nikai, Economic Section of the Japanese Mission to the EU and Deputy Director-General J. Delbeke DG ENV of the European Commission explained respectively Japan’s and EU preparations for Copenhagen. What are the chances of success? |
