After the opening session in which Burkhard SANNER, EGEC defined the themes and scope of the workshop , the first session moderated by Gerd WOLF, EESC welcomed three interventions from the authorities on the perspective of geothermal in each country/area by Agustin ESCARDINO MALVA (EU), Jonas KETHILSSION (Iceland) and Kuniko URASHIMA(Japan) . In the second session moderated by Andri LUTHERSSON, Icelandic Mission to the EU, case study of companies, Turboden (EU), Mannvit Engeineering (Iceland) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (Japan), were presented by focusing on technical aspects, followed by the third session dedicated to discuss the key actions and the cooperation they could envisage to embrace the geothermal potential.
