The EU Gateway Programme is funded and managed by the European Commission to support EU companies in developing business in Japan by providing support at the critical early stages of their market penetration strategy.
An Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) mission took place from 30 November- 4 December 2009 in Tokyo. Apart from pre-arranged individual meetings, this Business Mission also included two Business Days where companies were able to introduce their technologies and products to sector related manufacturers, import- and trading houses, users, and governmental organisations, etc. In the run-up to, during and after the visit, companies had access to professional mentoring and coaching on how to develop their business ideas and come up with a potent business strategy tailored to the Japanese marketplace.
