Intercultural Management Workshop (Workshop)
Japanese Companies in Europe: developing high potential staff

The workshop focused on development of locally-employed staff with high potential and possibilities of creating global HR strategies by integrating Headquarter/European Office staff.
This workshop sought participation from both Japanese and European managers in order to consider mutual problems more effectively in a shared environment. The first half of the workshop comprised an initial talk followed by two practitioner presentations, based on their own experience. The second half consists of a series of case studies for general discussion, assisted by a panel of the speakers, focused on issues relevant to maximizing efficiency and effectiveness in a multicultural workplace that requires an effective working partnership between Japanese and European skilled employees. The workshop was designed for Japanese and European senior line managers directly involved in day to day operations in Japanese affiliated companies.
