The Mackintosh Environmental Architecture Research Unit (MEARU), Mackintosh School of Architecture, Glasgow School of Art, is organising the 'Zero-energy Mass Custom Home Mission to Japan 2010' aimed at offering construction industry professionals, academics and government officers opportunities to visit the state-of-the-art production and sales facilities of 5 leading zero-energy housing manufacturers in Japan. This mission has been officially linked to the Renewable Energy 2010 (RE2010) international conference where the Mackintosh Environmental Architecture Research Unit (MEARU) will also run a zero-energy housing workshop (http://www.re2010.org/eng-conf/related-events/index.html).
