Renewable energy and issues of energy efficiency and the environment
For the past 20 years, the programme has promoted cooperation in energy fields with a view to deepening knowledge of the current state of R&D in the sector and thereby facilitate mutual understanding and effective collaboration between the EU and Japan.
The Centre’s current energy-related activities include:
- commissioning reports on energy sources or on energy-related issues (see below);
- attending or organising seminars on energy issues;
- maintaining links with energy experts, associations, etc. in the EU and following developments in EU energy policy;
- organising occasional missions for Japanese experts to visit EU energy companies, regulators or other energy experts or vice versa; and,
- answering inquiries about the energy sector in the other region.

All our energy-related activities are organised on an occasional basis. For more information, please contact Mr Simon CRAIG GRAY in Brussels or Ms Rei HAYASHI in Tokyo.
