Frisian Single Farm Whisky - Harvest Edition

Frisian Single Farm Whisky - Harvest Edition
Wines, Beers & Spirits

The Harvest Edition reflects the many challenges we face in organic farming, harvesting, and processing our barley. From unpredictable weather and climate conditions during cultivation to the delicate art of floor malting in both warm and cold seasons – every drop tells the story of our hard work. Matured by the North Sea, this whisky carries a gentle maritime note that brings depth and character. It reminds us of the coastal breeze and the barley grown in our island's fresh, salty air. This edition is more than just a whisky – it’s a tribute to agriculture and craftsmanship. A heartfelt thank-you to the land and all the effort it takes to bring in the harvest. With rich notes of caramel, vanilla, honey, and warming spices like clove and cinnamon, the Harvest Edition offers a full-bodied and comforting flavor. Subtle fruity undertones add complexity and balance. Aged in ex-bourbon casks and refined with a carefully selected second cask, this whisky blends tradition with nature’s variety. The result is a harmonious expression that honors our harvest and our commitment to sustainable farming.

Hinrichsen's Farm Distillery
Our whisky is crafted from field to glass – rooted in nature, independent, and handmade with care. On our family farm in Dunsum on the island of Föhr, we oversee every step of the production process ourselves. The barley grows on our own fields, is traditionally floor-malted on-site, brewed, distilled, and matured in oak casks in our hayloft behind the dike – all without external sourcing, all in one place.

Frisian Singel Farm Whisky - Wonter
Wonter – the Frisian word for winter – captures the quiet season on our island. The streets are empty, the fields are at rest, and even life on our farm slows down. It’s the time of year when we gather with family and friends, when we Frisians make time to celebrate – whether it’s with the neighbors or cozy by the fireplace at home. This whisky is like a warm coat on a cold day. Matured in a unique combination of sherry and vermouth casks, Wonter brings comfort and warmth to every sip. The sherry casks lend soft sweetness and depth, while the vermouth casks add a subtle herbal spice that makes this whisky truly special. Wonter is made for long conversations, shared laughter, and quiet moments of reflection. It’s not just a drink – it’s a feeling. A celebration of winter, of togetherness, and of the art of slowing down.

Kalevala Ruby Gin
Using our London Dry Gin as the base for this gin, the real magic takes place here after the distillation. Prior to blending with water, the distillate is transferred to a vessel in which it is married with real cranberries and bilberries for a full two weeks. This marriage (or maceration) gives our Ruby Gin its distinct fruity and yet dry taste as well as its color. Once the time is up, the distillate is filtered prior to being blended with water from our own well to drinking strength.

Tasting notes: a lovely silky and oily mouthfeel, with subtle floral and woody notes. This is rounded, sweet and balanced. A late pinch of white pepper adds warmth and further depth.

Christine Berger GmbH & Co. KG
Curiousness and fascination turn into a business idea. It all starts with Sandokan, the sea buckthorn juice. Even at the state of developing the first products it turned out that the processing of sea buckthorn is a real challenge. On the one hand, it is important to preserve the valuable vitamin and vital substances and on the other hand, optics and taste experience must go together. Christine Berger assembled a team of experts from different food production sectors and over the years, more than 50 taste-intensive variations have been developed.

Sundown Gin
This fruity, mild, and very aromatic gin is produced from oranges, grapefruit, sea buckthorn and juniper. This gin receives its natural fruity aroma and taste from fresh oranges and grapefruits, which are produced on an organic farm in Mallorca, Spain. These fresh fruits arrive to the Berlin Distillery, where fresh zests are peeled from the fruit and put directly into the still for distillation. In addition, juniper from the Balkan region and organic sea buckthorn from the Berlin area are used for this unique gin. The botanicals are each distilled separately in a 40 litre still in the Berlin Distillery and then blended into a dry gin. No additives, artificial or natural aromas, sugar, colouring nor concentrates are used for this gin.

The Sundown Gin can be drunk pure – straight or on ice. Berlin Distillery fans like the Sundown Gin as an afterwork gin, enjoyed when coming home and before dinner. In addition, it is often served to friends during a dinner, a party, or a gathering on the weekend. Bartenders like this gin to be served with a dry tonic and some orange or grapefruit peel as garnish. The Sundown Gin also works very well with prosecco as well as with a still or sparkling sake.

The Sundown Gin is presented in a very aesthetic bottle. The inside of the back label, with an illustration of a sunset above the city of Berlin, can be seen through the bottle. Every bottle is numbered by hand, as proof of the small-scale production and manual work invested in this gin.

The most popular gin of the Berlin Distillery is the Sundown Gin. The Berlin Night Gin is very well suited for the evening and night consumption. In addition, the distillery produces the Urban Garden Gin (sea wormwood, lavender, juniper and lemon), the BBQ Dry Gin (smoke juniper, pepper, dried tomato), the Asparagus Gin, a Baked Apple Gin and a cask-aged reserve gin.
