Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) announced on April 28th, that it is calling for proposals for development of next generation monitoring and control systems.  The company will hold an international tender procedure to purchase core operational systems, in a bid to reduce costs.

The company was known to purchase systems from its group companies, but this time other companies in Japan are invited to participate. The application period has been set from April 28, 2015 to May 13, 2015.  Prospective bidders are expected to be narrowed down by October on the basis of their proposals.
