Report: European Technologies of high Cooperation and Business Potential with Japan

This report has been conducted to support and complement the policy exchange in the framework of the EU-Japan Industrial Dialogue.

Given the limited time and resources allocated for this study, the results should be regarded only as a snapshot example of the newer and/or less known technologies in Europe.
From the total of 185 technologies collected, 15 were selected as being the best candidates for investment/cooperation with Japan.

The data collected from the EU member states from Central and Eastern Europe could be seen as particularly valuable due to their more limited exposure to the mainstream technology transfer networks. The range of listed technologies from the region is wide and intriguing: from nanotech, biotech and laser based solutions, to 3D printing, photonics and medical materials, from electric vehicle and nanosatellite components/solutions, to innovative agriculture and fish processing.

In practical terms, the report also provides a list of European technology developers that are ready and willing to be matched with Japanese partners.
