Mako Software GmbH was founded in 2022 with the conviction that energy data should be easy to generate and securely accessible. Since our inception, we have grown to serve over 100 enterprise customers who rely on our cloud-based platform to operate smart meters and access official smart metering data with confidence.
Our primary focus is MakoFlow. The platform empowers customers to securely access smart metering data, operate their own smart meters, and manage other regulated market access functions within a single solution. It supports a wide range of use cases, including energy service provider data access, full-featured metering point operation, tenant electricity projects, and seamless EDI/AS4 gateway integration.
MakoFlow is designed to meet the complex requirements of regulated energy markets, offering robust data exchange, encryption, and energy data management capabilities. With modern interfaces, it can be easily integrated with existing systems or used as a standalone solution.
Our key differentiator is enabling customers to operate within officially regulated industries—without the need for additional metering hardware beyond the smart meters already installed by grid operators or commercial metering point operators. This ensures outstanding data quality and minimizes operational effort. Currently, our main focus is on Germany and other European energy markets.
