It’s the time of year when we gather with family and friends, when we Frisians make time to celebrate – whether it’s with the neighbors or cozy by the fireplace at home. This whisky is like a warm coat on a cold day. Matured in a unique combination of sherry and vermouth casks, Wonter brings comfort and warmth to every sip. The sherry casks lend soft sweetness and depth, while the vermouth casks add a subtle herbal spice that makes this whisky truly special. Wonter is made for long conversations, shared laughter, and quiet moments of reflection. It’s not just a drink – it’s a feeling. Our whisky is crafted from field to glass – rooted in nature, independent, and handmade with care. On our family farm in Dunsum on the island of Föhr, we oversee every step of the production process ourselves. The barley grows on our own fields, is traditionally floor-malted on-site, brewed, distilled, and matured in oak casks in our hayloft behind the dike – all without external sourcing, all in one place.
