Moreover, it will also strongly contribute to Yokohama’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Held three years in advance of the target year for achievement of the SDGs, the Expo will be the place to examine and share with the world, the results of efforts toward building a sustainable society, in order to make these results of greater use to everyone. The aim is to create a sustainable society in harmony with nature characterized by deep-reaching happiness through greater exposure to flowers, greenery and nature as a whole.

Lasting for six months from March till September 2027, the Japan Association for the International Horticultural Expo 2027 Yokohama will use an area of 100 hectares in the districts Seya and Asahi.
