Market Access workshops (online or on-site) in cooperation with local EU support organisations

In its ongoing efforts to help European SMEs to access the Japanese market, the EU-Japan Centre co-organises Market Access workshops in cooperation with the with local EU support organisations (members of Enterprise Europe Network or other EU non-profit entities, such as EU clusters).
These workshops, in collaboration with EEN partners or other EU non-profit entities, will cover information on how to access the Japanese market for EU companies interested in a particular sector and/or provide insights into the Japanese business culture.

The industrial sectors that could be covered during the Market Access workshops include:

  • Food
  • Textile
  • Biotech/medical devices
  • ICT/IoT/digitalisation
  • Clean-tech/circular economy
  • Cosmetics
  • Furniture

Cultural workshops cover:

  • meeting with Japanese partners
  • negotiation process
  • other Japanese business culture aspects

The agenda of the workshop could vary (depending on the preference of the partners in collaboration and whether the workshop is held online or on-site), yet initially these workshops would address topics related to sectorial opportunities, including requirements, regulations, strategies and others, as well as cultural aspects such as meeting Japanese partners and Japanese business protocol.
The workshop would take from 1-2 hours online and 3-4 hours at the premises of and in cooperation with local Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) partners or other EU entities.

All costs regarding the experts’ presentation fees as well as a possible travel (accommodation, flights) would be covered by the Centre. The date for the workshop would be scheduled at least one month in advance to ensure enough time for preparation and logistical arrangements.

For more information and if you wish to be kept informed about our calendar, please contact Ms Ana Horvatin at a.horvatin(at)eu-japan.eu.

Here are the details of the past workshops co-organized with our EEN regional partners since 2015 until today.
