Market Access workshops (online or on-site) in cooperation with local EU support organisations
In its ongoing efforts to help European SMEs to access the Japanese market, the EU-Japan Centre co-organises Market Access workshops in cooperation with the with local EU support organisations (members of Enterprise Europe Network or other EU non-profit entities, such as EU clusters).
These workshops, in collaboration with EEN partners or other EU non-profit entities, will cover information on how to access the Japanese market for EU companies interested in a particular sector and/or provide insights into the Japanese business culture.
The industrial sectors that could be covered during the Market Access workshops include:
- Biotech/medical devices
- Clean-tech/circular economy
- multiple aspects of the Japanese business culture
The agenda of the workshop could vary (depending on the preference of the partners in collaboration and whether the workshop is held online or on-site), yet initially these workshops would address topics related to accessing the Japanese market, including modes of export to Japan, import processes and procedures, marketing, distribution and sales in Japan, distribution system and outlets in Japan, trade shows, business matching, meeting Japanese partners and Japanese business protocol as well as recent trends and virtual communication practices.
The workshop would take from 1-2 hours online and 3-4 hours at the premises of and in cooperation with local Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) partners or other EU entities.
All costs regarding the experts’ presentation fees as well as a possible travel (accommodation, flights) would be covered by the Centre. The date for the workshop would be scheduled at least one month in advance to ensure enough time for preparation and logistical arrangements.
