Online Market Access Workshops support EU SMEs entering Japan
The EU-Japan Centre guides EU SMEs toward the Japanese market through thematic workshops.
Market access workshops on the rise
The EU-Japan Centre is pleased to report the successful conclusion of four more online workshops since our December issue. This year, due to the many Member States’ delegations, both at a national and regional level, planned to benefit from the World Expo 2025 held in Osaka, the demand for the Centre’s Market Access Workshops is high.
DG Trade expands online business support for EU service exporters
DG Trade has expanded the scope of its online Trade Assistant for Services and Investment to cover one hundred services sectors across four of the EU’s key trading partners: Canada, Japan, Switzerland, and the UK.

In its ongoing efforts to help European SMEs access the Japanese market, the EU-Japan Centre has been organizing various market access workshops on a regular basis since 2015.

New features on the Access2Markets portal
The new Access2Markets homepage was launched in May. On the new homepage, information is now organised in a clearer and more intuitive manner. New features have also been added, including a trade assistant for services and investment.

In its ongoing efforts to help EU companies access the Japanese market, the EU-Japan Centre co-organises Market Access workshops in cooperation with local EU support organisations. Members of Enterprise Europe Network or other EU non-profit entities such as clusters, chambers of commerce, regional development agencies, etc.
