Symposium on EU-Japan Collaboration in High-Performance Computing - HPC
The HANAMI project, the EU-Japan collaboration around HPC is delighted to announce the first HANAMI High-level Symposium, which will take place in Barcelona on January 13-15, 2025. This event will focus on EU-Japan Cooperation: Advancing High-Performance Computing for Solving Global Challenges.
HANAMI is the next generation of the HPC alliance between Europe and Japan
The objective of the EuroHPC research project HANAMI is to support the implementation of the Japan-EU Digital Partnership in order to strengthen cooperation with Japan, addressing the priority domains, which are climate and weather modeling, and biomedical and materials science of the High-Performance Computing collaboration.

(this project is completed) From September 2020 to October 2021, the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation coordinated the organization of a series of events and activities aiming at strengthening the cooperation between Europe and Japan for climate action, covering topics such as the links between trade, industry and climate, the acceleration of renewable energy deployment and the role of local governments in low-carbon transition.
