EU-Japan business cooperation in third markets

The EU-Japan Centre promoted EU-Japan business cooperation in Africa and presented existing joint projects in the infrastructure sector.

On 13-15 November 2024, four European SMEs participated in the 17th Kawasaki International Eco-Tech Fair to take part in a matchmaking event with Japanese companies and government representatives from Cambodia and the Philippines (Cebu).

The EU-Japan Centre is opening the scope of its service facilitating the connection between EU and Japanese companies in foreign markets. The service is no longer limited to EU-Japan business cooperation in ASEAN, Africa and Latin America and will be open to other markets.

A hybrid event co-organized by the EU-Japan Centre presented financing opportunities for EU-Japan joint projects in Africa and existing success stories. Three business areas were covered - energy, transport and critical raw materials - which are key for EU-Japan cooperation with African partners.

On 13 September 2023, the EU-Japan Centre was invited to speak at the STePP Forum organised by UNIDO ITPO Tokyo to talk about EU-Japan business cooperation in Africa.
