EXPO Osaka Special: Poland's participation in the Osaka Expo highlights its heritage driving innovation. The Polish-Japanese Export Forum, set for 20 May 2025, will focus on strengthening economic ties and showcasing Poland’s potential in green tech, gaming, agri-food, and more.

The third edition of the Japanese Festival in Krotoszyn took place in September this year, as an event accompanying the Sumo World Championships in Krotoszyn. As always, the organizers took care to introduce residents to the world of Japanese tradition, culture, and art.

Friendly relations between the Polish and Japanese cities of Krotoszyn and Okinoshima were established in 2016 and are actively being maintained with constant efforts from both partners to expand cooperation. Celebrating important occasions for both communities together is an important factor in strengthening this friendship.

Ahead of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Poland is actively engaging with Japanese businesses through a series of economic missions aimed at fostering collaboration and exploring business opportunities.

During their visit, the journalists discovered the richness of Polish heritage and experienced how it drives modern times. The press trip organized as part of promotional activities preceding Poland's participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai.

On 27 March the four concerned parties: Marshal Office of Wielkopolska Region, Krotoszyn Municipality, Las Kalisz Ltd. Co., and Village Housewives’ Association in Kobierno, signed a letter of intent, thus making the first step in implementing the Japanese good practice of sewing small promotional gadgets in wild boar leather.

Polish Investment & Trade Agency (PAIH) promotes Polish innovations at two large-scale trade fairs – Japan IT Week and SusHi Tech Tokyo. The participation in the events aims to strengthen the position of Poland as a highly advanced technological hub.

Over 300 entrepreneurs and representatives of Polish business support institutions participated in the inaugural seminar of the training series titled “An Opportunity to Develop Your Business in Japan - Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai”. The event was organised by the PAIH Expo Team.

The diplomatic relations between Krotoszyn (Wielkopolska Region, Poland) and Okinoshima (Shimane Prefecture, Japan) have once again acquired a cultural dimension by introducing the world of Japan to Krotoszyn which enchanted the audience with its beauty, culture and traditions. The 2nd edition of the Japanese Festival in Krotoszyn brought into town distinguished guests from Okinoshima and Misato towns, the Embassy of Japan in Poland, and the Marshal Office of Wielkopolska Region in Poznan.
