Bringing Europe and Japan Closer Together
In the context of the EU-Japan negotiations for an FTA and a Bilateral Air Safety Agreement, the EU-Japan Aeronautics Seminar, organised in Brussels, brought together key policy-makers, industry, industrial associations, regulators and other stakeholders to discuss a wide range of issues, such as enhancing cooperation on technological innovations to reduce emissions and noise and improve passenger experience, modernising air traffic management and addressing EU-Japan cooperation on safety issues.

The event was organised by the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation and the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) with the support of Rolls-Royce.
The main conclusions from the event fed into the "Cooperation projects in Aeronautics" discussion during the 19th annual meeting of the EU-Japan Business Round Table held in Brussels on 11 July 2017.
