Green Business Mission in Japan

Application deadline:
December 05 2025

Application deadline: December 5, 2025

Mission dates: March 16 to 19, 2026

Are you a European business providing solutions for the Green Transition? Have you been looking for a chance to address the Japanese market? If so, the EU-Japan Centre offers you an opportunity to do just that. Apply to our Green Business Mission and get a chance to showcase your company during the Smart Energy Week / Sustainability Management Week in Tokyo in March 2026.

Selected applicants will enjoy a dedicated space in a European Pavilion, at no cost. Translation of the companies’ profiles and English-Japanese interpreters on-site are also part of the package. In addition, extra B2B activities will be organised before the fair, to maximise business opportunities with Japanese companies.

ABOUT THE MISSION

Mission participants will exhibit as part of a European Pavilion at the Decarbonization Expo 2026, a dedicated Expo zone at Sustainability Management Week / Smart Energy Week, taking place at the International Exhibition Centre, Tokyo Big Sight. With nearly 70,000 professional visitors and close to 1,500 exhibitors, the fair is the largest Green Technology event in Japan. Sectors of interest at the Smart Energy Week are hydrogen, batteries, photovoltaics, smart-gridwind power, and biomass, while the focus at the Decarbonisation Expo is on carbon-zero solutions in general. Also solutions contributing to a circular economy are present at the expo.

The three-day exhibition from March 17 to 19, 2026, is an excellent opportunity to engage with Japanese business partners. At the European Pavilion, Japanese-language posters will be provided based on the materials from mission participants, and Centre staff and professional interpreters will help to promote mission participants’ products, technologies and ensure maximum exposure to visitors of the exhibition. A networking event on the day before the fair will increase the opportunities to connect with potential business partners and clients.
