56th WCM: 19–23 October 2026 | 57th WCM: 1–5 March 2027
The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation invites applications from experienced professionals to serve as Coach for two editions of its World Class Manufacturing (WCM) Programme in Japan.
WCM is a five-day executive training programme for EU managers and decision-makers with an engineering background, offering an in-depth understanding of Japanese manufacturing excellence through seminars, workshops, and factory (Gemba) visits. The programme is expected to take place in the Chubu region, Japan.
The selected coach will support participants throughout both editions, including orientation, team-building, daily coaching, workshop facilitation, and group presentations.
We welcome applications from professionals with:
JPY 550,000 per completed mission
(up to JPY 1,100,000 for both missions)
Continuation to the 57th edition is subject to satisfactory performance in the 56th edition.
Please note that the honorarium covers the coaching assignment as a whole, including the coach’s stay and domestic travel arrangements in Japan during each mission.
