Its aim is to foster the development of industrial cooperation between companies from both regions through training programmes for businesspeople, for EU and Japanese students and researchers, and through information services and an industrial dialogue. This quarterly newsletter is produced by the EU-based office of the EU-Japan Centre, and is primarily intended to provide EU/Japan-related news.

On 23 July, Tokyo, the EU-Japan BRT submitted its 2025 recommendations to PM Ishiba and was asked by the EU and Japanese Authorities to take a leading role in consolidating and conveying practical perspectives from industry.

European Commission Survey on the EU-Japan EPA

The European Commission is circulating an Open Public Consultation and Business Survey on the EU-Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA).
This consultation gives a broad range of EU and Japanese stakeholders (SMEs, businesses...) an opportunity to give their views, ensuring the Commission draws on a comprehensive perspective in a transparent and participatory way.
The survey is open until 30 November 2025.
