This Report investigates the sources of finance and business support available for European SMEs going international. Whilst relevant to the process of internationalisation in general, this study mainly focuses on Japan as a destination for business. The Report explores the business support available both at national level (case studies from a selected number of EU Member States) and at EU level. It also explores the potential support available from the central and local Japanese authorities and financing institutions.
