Nanotech Business Mission in Japan 2026 (14–18 December 2026)

Thank you for your interest in the Nanotech Business Mission in Japan 2026.

This application form helps us better understand your organisation, your technology or solution, your interest in the Japanese market, and the type of partners you would like to meet in Japan.

Before starting your application, please review the Nanotech Business Mission webpage, including the eligibility criteria, participation conditions, costs, deposit rules, and mission programme.

Selected participants will be asked to confirm their participation and pay a €1,000 deposit. This deposit is refundable upon completion of the mission and submission of the required post-mission report, in line with the mission conditions.

You may use language tools to improve the clarity of your answers. However, your responses should reflect your organisation’s actual situation, technology, Japan-related objectives, and understanding of the market. Generic, inconsistent, or unclear answers will make it difficult for us to evaluate your application properly.

SME status and participation category

SME status is important because it determines the applicable participation conditions. SMEs and eligible clusters may participate free of charge, while non-SME companies are subject to a contribution fee.

To confirm the correct participation category, please provide official supporting documents, such as:

  • documents confirming staff headcount, turnover, and balance sheet total;

  • annual accounts, financial statements, or company register extracts;

  • ownership, shareholding, or group structure information, where relevant.

A self-signed declaration alone is not sufficient for this verification. Where relevant, the assessment also needs to take into account parent companies, subsidiaries, linked enterprises, partner enterprises, or group-level data.

The EU-Japan Centre may contact applicants for clarification or additional documents if needed.

Please prepare all necessary information and supporting documents before starting the form, as progress cannot be saved.

The submission deadline is 8 September 2026.

Any questions? Please contact Hitoshi Koyano, Business Support Coordinator, at h.koyano@eu-japan.eu.
