Japanese business culture

The EU-Japan Centre is pleased to report the successful conclusion of four more online workshops since our December issue. This year, due to the many Member States’ delegations, both at a national and regional level, planned to benefit from the World Expo 2025 held in Osaka, the demand for the Centre’s Market Access Workshops is high.

The EU-Japan Centre is pleased to report the successful conclusion of three more workshops since our October issue, co-organized with Malta Enterprise and Trade Malta on Japanese Business Culture, with the Bratislava and Kosice regional Slovakian Chambers of Commerce on the ICT sector, and with the Austrian Research Promotion Agency on Japanese Business Culture.

During 17–20 August 2023, the Institute for Japanese Studies at Ghent University organized the 17th International Conference of the European Association for Japanese Studies (EAJS). It attracted 886 participants in person and more online.

The Japan-Spain Intercultural Guide published by the SHACHO KAI Association of Japanese companies culminates a trilogy of publications that reflect extensively on Japanese management.

In nearly 10 years, the EU Business in Japan support has provided over 400 reports and webinars spanning from industrial sectors to cultural aspects and regulations to help EU companies succeed in Japan.
