The 17th international EAJS conference at Ghent University
During 17–20 August 2023, the Institute for Japanese Studies at Ghent University organized the 17th International Conference of the European Association for Japanese Studies (EAJS). It attracted 886 participants in person and more online.
Mochida Pharmaceutical’s open innovation programme

Fellowships from the Canon Foundation in Europe
Annually, the Canon Foundation in Europe grants up to 15 Fellowships to highly qualified European and Japanese researchers. European Fellows are expected to pursue a period of research in Japan whereas Japanese Fellows are expected to do their research in Europe.
EIG CONCERT-Japan joint call for research proposals
The EIG CONCERT-Japan will launch its 10th joint call for research proposals this spring.  This year’s theme is Sustainable cities, and the call’s subject will be “Solutions for Carbon-Neutral Cities”.
“German Research Fair” for graduate, PhD & Postdoc students from Japan
DWIH Tokyo hosts the first online “German Research Fair” on 27 April 2023. The aim is to connect graduate students, PhD students and postdoc researchers from Japan with 14 universities and research organizations in Germany and to inform them about funding opportunities.

The GTB promotes the formation of a global biocommunity hub in the Tokyo area with the participation of 45 organizations including local governments, universities, research institutes, bio-related organizations, industry support organizations, as well as financial and investment institutions.

The EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation is introducing "Market Research by Vulcanus in Japan", which aims at providing EU technology SMEs with a customized market and industry research report on Japan.
