The first objective of this webinar is to present the Urban Technology Alliance (UTA), a global alliance of smart city testbeds involving European and Japanaese cities and technological stakeholders. In addition, this webinar will be an opportunity to give a presentation of some of the ongoing smart city experiments within the UTA city testbeds.
The webinar is targeted to EU companies and organisations seeking a testing environment for their IoT and smart city related solutions.

Dr Levent Gurgen, R&D Project Manager at Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique (CEA): Dr. Levent GURGEN is R&D project manager in CEA-LETI. He has been involved in several EU-Japan collaborative projects on IoT and smart cities such as ClouT (http://clout-project.eu/), FESTIVAL (http://www.festival-project.eu/) and M-SEC (https://www.msecproject.eu/) projects. He is currently coordinating the EU-Japan BigClouT project (http://bigclout.eu/) on smart cities. He is also coordinating the building phase of the Urban Technology Alliance, an international association aiming at building a global network of city scale testbeds for validating smart city solutions.
Dr. Jin Nakazawa, associate professor in Keio University: Dr Nakazawa is currently working on 2 European-Japanese collaborative projects on Internet of Things. He leads a broad range of research aiming at making cities smarter with the power of information. His lab in Keio aims at building a large-scale sensing system, a data dissemination platform, intelligent data analysis techniques, and a number of applied system including health, environment, traffic, and wellbeing.
