Webinar 93: Cross-cultural Issues: First Contact with Japanese (part 1)

April 18 2017

18-04-17 | 10:30 - 11:30 AM CET

What are the key factors for establishing and maintaining a successful business in Japan?

Japan’s business culture has a modern surface, but is still based on a set of traditional values like harmony, respect and hierarchy.  A lack of understanding of these underlying patterns may result in misunderstanding and frustration. Apart from a general awareness of Japanese cultural patterns, specific knowledge of business practices  as well as appropriate communication skills are needed to master the challenges of Japan’s business world, which is strongly characterised by people orientation and implicit structures.

The webinar is targeted to EU companies seeking to establish contacts with Japanese business partners and set up long-term trustful relationships
