JTPP Helpdesk organises a Masterclass/Workshop on public procurement in Japan on Thursday March 19, 2026, 10:00-12:00. This Masterclass/Workshop is specifically targeted at staff working at EU-member states embassies, trade promotion organisations and chambers of commerce and limited to a maximum of 15 participants.

About this event

This interactive masterclass offers a practical, insider’s look at how the EUJC’s JTPP Helpdesk supports European SMEs exploring public procurement opportunities in Japan. Participants will gain hands-on exposure to the tools and resources the Helpdesk uses to track and share tender information, including how weekly digests and social media updates are created.

The session will also walk you through how the Helpdesk assists companies with preparation, qualification, and application procedures. By the end, you will leave with concrete knowledge and a set of practical tools to better guide your client SMEs in navigating Japan’s public procurement landscape and increasing their chances of success.

Target audience

This workshop is designed for personnel from EU Member State embassies, TPOs, and Chambers of Commerce who support EU companies in their business and trade activities with Japan. It is especially valuable for those looking to strengthen or expand their own public procurement support services and help EU SMEs compete more effectively in Japan’s public procurement market.

About the Japan Tax and PP Helpdesk

Following the entry into force of the EU–Japan Economic Partnership Agreement (EPA) in 2019, new opportunities have opened for European companies in Japan’s public procurement market. The Japan Tax & Public Procurement (JTPP) Helpdesk supports European SMEs by helping them navigate procurement procedures and tax-related matters. To reduce barriers and make Japan’s public sector more accessible, the Helpdesk offers a range of services, including an Ask-the-Expert service, the Weekly Public Sector Tender Digest, regular LinkedIn updates, and a comprehensive online information platform.
