On 07 October 2025, the LAURELIN Consortium will organise its Final Conference entitled: Advancing e-fuel production innovation for sustainable transport.

After 4 years of collaborative EU-Japan research, this event will highlight the project’s scientific breakthroughs and foster dialogue among academic peers, end-users, and policymakers. Besides presenting an overview of the key developments achieved under the LAURELIN framework, their final conference aims to celebrate & promote further scientific cooperation and friendship between Japan and the European Union.

The LAURELIN consortium is composed by ten partners: six of them originate from four EU countries (Spain, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium), two from Japan and two from the United Kingdom.

During the conference, project highlights will be given by the LAURELIN project members on their advancements and scientific breakthroughs as well as engage in roundtable discussions focusing upon their research including:

  • Renewable fuels production as a key to further decarbonising the transport sector
  • Shaping the future together: EU-Japan collaboration on Research & Innovation
