EESC joint seminar with the EU Institute in Kansai. 09 March 2016
You are most welcome to participate in an EESC joint seminar with the EU Institute in Kansai, entitled: "EU-Japan Cooperation in Comparative Perspective – Trade and Migration policies", which will be held at the EESC premises in Brussels on 9 March 2016.
Seminar & programme
Each year, the EESC and the EU Institute in Kansai jointly organise a seminar on issues of mutual and topical interest. This year's seminar, at the EESC premises in Brussels, focuses in its first session on the question to what extent the ongoing negotiations leading up to the EU-Japan FTA are informed by the outcomes of the TPP negotiation process and discussions around TTIP. The seminar's second session will be dedicated to the topical issue of asylum and migration policies, and will look at similarities and differences between the two countries' approaches to migration, and in particular long-term settlement and integration of newcomers in communities and societies.
