Innovation: Supporting cooperation between Europe and Japan
Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes is one of the 6 winning regions of the European programme "International Urban and Regional Cooperation" IURC EU-Japan, which supports cooperation for innovation between European regions and Japanese prefectures.

The EU and Japan open Horizon Europe association talks
Leaders at the EU-Japan Summit taking place in Tokyo agreed to start exploratory talks on Japan’s possible association to the EU's key research & innovation funding programme Horizon Europe. Association is the closest form of international cooperation on research and innovation with third countries, and it could pave the way for an intensified cooperation in research and innovation between the EU and Japan.

EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation

Joint venture established in 1987 by the European Commission (DG GROW) and the Japanese Government (METI) for promoting all forms of industrial, trade and investment cooperation between the EU and Japan.
