Nanotech Cluster and Industry Landscape in Japan

This report has been undertaken in the framework of the new "Minerva Fellowship" programme initiated by the Centre in 2013 and is based on desk and field research as well as factual first-hand information. The information contained in the Report  reflects the views of the author only and not necessarily the views and position of the EU-Japan Centre for Industrial Cooperation,  the EU Commission or Japan authorities.

This report aims to provide an overview of the Japanese nanotech sector, its structure and the industry landscape. It also presents a set of conclusions and recommendations for European companies wishing to collaborate with Japanese nanotech companies or to access the Japanese market. A useful database of Japanese companies that have activities in nanotechnology is presented in the annex to the report.
