Japan is largely dependent on imports of honey to meet the domestic demand. Although from a low level, the organic honey segment is expected to further grow, which could offer business opportunities to EU producers.
The aim of this report is to assess the current status of the Japanese honey market. The report is targeting EU-based small- and mid-sized companies (SMEs) that are producing honey and are seeking to enter the Japanese market or those aiming at strengthening their current positions in Japan. The intended audience for this report also includes other actors in the value chain, such as bottlers and exporters.
