About Japan Webinar 63: The Non-Life Insurance Sector in Japan

March 01 2016

What is the current status of the non-life insurance market in Japan, and what segments of the market could be interesting for European companies?

Several foreign insurance companies have entered the Japanese market over the years. In contrast to the life insurance market where foreign companies have a combined market share of about 20%, the corresponding share for foreign non-life insurance companies in Japan is only about 6%. Various challenges have slowed down a stronger presence. The emergence of three domestic mega groups is one large factor behind this.

The webinar was targeted to European companies that need information on the Japanese non-life insurance market including potential business segments.
