The EU-Japan Centre regularly organises managerial training programmes and sectorial missions for EU companies' representatives in need of support in their activities with Japan or for improving their companies' competitiveness. Here below are the details and session dates of the programmes:
Get ready for Japan
The HRTP - Japan industry insight training programme has been redesigned and became a 2-week mission entitled Get Ready for Japan. The new mission retains key elements from the old course and gives EU managers a unique opportunity to experience and understand both the cultural and economic elements which define and explain Japan's business and technological achievements.
WCM
The 5-day World Class Manufacturing training mission (WCM) provides an in-depth analysis of Japanese manufacturing methodology and is aimed exclusively at EU Executives and Managers with knowledge of WCM and an engineering background. It assists the participants to acquire a better understanding of TQC (Total Quality Control), TQM (Total Quality Management), TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), JIT (Just In Time), TIE (Total Industrial Engineering) practices and the current KAIZEN manufacturing methods (continuous improvement). Lean in Europe and Lean Café The Lean in Europe activity organises in-depth one-day visits to world class European plants which are designed to help raise industrial competitiveness. During each visit, participants gain a detailed understanding of the host company's 'lean journey' including the tools it uses in its relentless drive to be competitive, and see the tools in operation. These best practice visits are designed to inspire the participants along their companies' lean journeys and can also provide valuable feedback to the host companies.
Lean in Europe visits are being planned and will be announced in due course. Occasional Lean Café webinar discussions of lean ideas will also be announced.
