Lean in Europe-Visit 15- Hansa Matrix

On Tuesday 14 November, the EU-Japan Centre will organised a Lean in Europe visit to Hansamatrix, electronic systems manufacturer, in Riga in Latvia.

A preparatory afternoon and networking dinner was organised, the evening before in a local hotel. The next day was devoted to Hansamatrix.

The visit focused on Hansamatrix approach towards WCM. It included a presentation on Hansamatrix attitude towards 5S audit with risk assesment, SMED and Lean diagnoses, time taking, layouts and flows.  It was followed by a plant tour through WH movie, PCB, LVP and lines SMT Sfab and Seho.

Participants have:

  • Joined an interactive session all day long, which included personal workshops and factory tours.
  • Saw world-class principles in action with shop-floor visits while being coaching with detailed explanations provided by the host company
  • Gave feedback to Hansamatrix on various ways of improvement

Costs - who pays what?
