(*) If the applicant entity is part of a group, the group must have its headquarter in the EU or in a European country associated to the SMP programme (**).
(**) The Single Market Programme is the Commission programme that funds the EU-Japan Centre. The following non-EU countries are associated to this programme and therefore eligible for support from the EU-Japan Centre: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine. Please refer to the list of Participating Countries in the Single Market Programme (SMP) here.
Please be aware that although membership is also granted to some European countries associated to this programme, the website content only focuses on European Union - Japan regulations and aspects. The provided information might not apply to your country due to bilateral trade agreements and specific regulations your country has with Japan.
Any other non-EU countries are ineligible for access.

(****) If you are working in a non-EU country located branch of an eligible entity, please indicate your office address and not the EU based headquarter one.
Should your entity not be based / headquartered in the European Union or in a European country associated to the SMP programme, your membership request will not be granted. Therefore no need to fill in the form.
Please consider that the validation process is human operated, it is not automatic, and may take some time before being completed.
